Our passion: from personal journey to dedicated rescue
Outcast Pythons began from a lifelong passion for reptiles. Since the age of 15, these incredible creatures have been a central part of my life. As an ex-breeder, I became increasingly aware of the many reptiles abandoned, neglected, or simply needing a safe refuge. It was at that moment that the need for a dedicated sanctuary became clear.
To us, reptiles are more than just pets; they are an integral part of my family's daily life. We deeply understand their care, behaviour, and individual needs, and we are committed to providing them with the highest possible quality of life. Sadly, very few places in the UK allow people to surrender reptiles without fear of judgement. Many organisations demand detailed explanations for surrendering an animal, which can make it incredibly difficult for owners to seek help. We set out to create a place where people could reach out without shame or criticism.
Unique care, unwavering commitment
A significant challenge in animal rescue is that many organisations are simply not equipped to handle the large numbers of reptiles or provide the specialist care they require. At Outcast Pythons, we are uniquely able to care for a wide variety of species, ensuring they receive proper husbandry, enrichment, and rehabilitation tailored to their specific needs.
Our reptiles are given opportunities for natural enrichment, including supervised outdoor time to explore grass and enjoy fresh air when appropriate. We firmly believe that enrichment is essential for their wellbeing, both physically and mentally. It is truly heartbreaking to realise how many reptiles are in need and how little support is available for them. Outcast Pythons was created to help fill that gap—to provide safety, understanding, and a second chance for reptiles that otherwise may have nowhere else to go.

At Outcast Pythons in the United Kingdom, we welcome any reptile that needs help. Our mission extends to supporting anyone needing assistance, whether that involves surrendering an animal or simply seeking advice and answers to their questions. While we focus mainly on snakes, we are equipped to accept any exotic animal in need of a safe and loving home.
Our ultimate goal for Outcast Pythons in the future is to continue expanding our reach and capabilities, ensuring we remain a safe haven for all animals needing help. We strive to be a beacon of hope and a trusted resource for the exotic pet community, fostering a future where every animal receives the care and respect it deserves.
